OMG I wasn't that close to our two dogs (I thought) But watching penny girl dye and my husband crying over her was so tear breaking for me. It took over four grouling hours for her to dye. Her little heart just wasn't going to beat anymore.

Sad part is Hubby was feeding them at four in the evening and penny just went down and was breathing the lung sound. It was awful. So I give badger some water and we take penny out of kennel and bring to the house. I even gave her some aspirin in water to help with pain. She couldn't stand up so hubby had to take her outside and hold her up to pee. he did it three different times before her heart gave out.

Hubby brought penny down to see badger to show her brother she was dead. Badger wouldn't come out of the dog house so hubby put the penny in back of truck , then went back to see what was wrong with badger. OMG he couldn't walk and hubby carried him up and into the house. He has been in and out of sleeping since penny died. it has been over twenty four hours and he has thrown up and went into a coma state. then he lifts his head and comes back to life. God why cant he let go and get it over with. I have cried and hubby has cried. I even ask who ever is over doggy heaven to please take him. But as of yet he is still here and once in awhile he does a terrible sound of bark or cry . Should just get it over with but me or hubby cant make our self do it. I feel so awful for him. all the suffering he is going through. Penny girl went out with dignity and badger is scared to death to let go. Or his heart is still strong but nothing else is.

I am just writing this cause I just feel I got to vent it out. I will never get another pet. they don't out live you and its to hard to watch them go through it.

Now you tell me if this isn't the cutest bunch of grandchildren. I must say I am the happiest and proudest grandmother around Minnesota. They make life worth all the sore backs and arthritis that I have to deal with. Getting older is easier with the younger ones to share with. They make me at times feel young again. Also they make me feel my age when I play with them. :)
I love my grandchildren very much. Who would have thought my heart had room for more love. Funny how the human body can love so easily. If the whole world population could just use this kind of love to get along with each other. Our nation would be a wonderful place to live in.

January was a month of sick

I and hubby were sick most of January, thank god its gone. With the cold and then the flu and then hubby bad teeth, I thought we would never survive. But we did. and now we are in February and now we had a outbreak of scabies at work. But we are sure we are not caring them and out in the clear. So finally I am going to take a trip to MPLS. to see the kids and grand kids. Yeah! Haven't seen them since Christmas.
I don't know if it is my age or if we just get the worse of the worse residents at work. I feel like I'm running my ass off and getting no where. With the Alzheimer's not knowing they are suppose to sleep I just cant keep up with them. I had to look outside last night to see if there was a full moon. Its just horrible.
Hubby is outside on this beautiful day we are having snowplowing the mushy snow of the driveway. I am just finishing supper and waiting for him to come in so we can eat our homemade stew and biscuit's I made. We have been eating in more. I am enjoying taking new recipes offline and trying them. Found a great baking powder biscuit and also a great steakhouse wheat bread. I have to go buy some fresh herbs and then I am going to try some new recipes on avocados. ( just to see if we like them) Well hubby is coming in so off to go eat.

I remember doing this like twenty some years ago and never thought that I and hubby would go through ripping out the bathroom and putting it back together. But we did and now that we got the tub and tile done we spent all day cleaning our bedroom out to see if we could fit a closet in the bathroom. And yes we did it. so we will be adding a closet in the bathroom and shrinking our bedroom a little bit.

But we will be gaining room in the bathroom and also we can have access to our piping for the shower and tub. So maybe we wouldn't have the water damage we got by not seeing the leak before it rotted the wall and floor under the tub..

And really I don't entertain in the bedroom . So to loose the space isn't going to hurt us that much.

Also hubby says he wants to go look for another sink for the bathroom. that should be fun. And I need to figure out what to do with the walls, Man are they ugly now.... So I think I will be busy for a few more weeks.

I've been so busy with my farmville I just haven't had time to even write on here!
But it isn't just that! The stress level at my job is over the limit right now! I had to wait till Friday for my new schedule and then to find out I still have my old one! Thanks for that! But it will be very interesting on my holidays and what I will get off this summer! Well I hope I can get out of there in three years and go do something a little more fun!
Because of my part time I will be at the bottom of the list by next year in seniority so I will have everyone passing me up so when it comes to signing up for the holidays and vacation I wont be able to get them! That's what I get for giving twenty years of service to them! Oh but I am getting a severance pay of three hundred dollars and a hundred for every year I work there! Yeah!!!!! but I did loose over twelve thousand dollars in sick leave that I cant get because the benefit was only for when I work for the county! So they just take it from me! I should have been one of those who abused it and used it!!!!! Oh well isn't a thing I can do about it! So I need to let it go and get on with my life with the new company who took us over!
Life is so fun at this age ! Who would have thought I would be looking for medical insurance as of Nov 1 I and hubby will have none! I did find one company that I can afford but there is such a deductible that if we do end up hospitalized we will have to pay with a credit card and pay on that for a few months!!! I wish the government would get something in place for the middle class who pay all taxes and get nothing but stabbed in the back in the end!

Out to eat

We went to the casino for a special they were having through out July! Of course we made it to the last Tuesday for the seafood buffet for only 8.99. We got there at 5:15 pm and we had to sign up for our grand casino member card which is free! Because either me or hubby have never had one we got ten dollars to use on a machine! We then went to get in line for the buffet! Well you have to get a number and then wait till the number is called!

We got our number and were told it would be a three hour minimum wait to get in! They had just called 15. We were number 67! Well we took off to go spend the money we got and I liked the wolf machine so I put my card in then you put the code in and then I put a dollar in and I lost it all! Well I had one more dollar in my pocket so I put it in the machine! Hubby got very upset with me as he had to borrow a dollar to start his machine up to play! I finally told him to shut up when my machine went on a 6 game free spin and I won hundred and six dollars! I proceeded to take the cash! Hubby won sixteen dollars but played till he got to ten and took it out! We payed my sister the dollar back!

Well we then proceeded to the buffet to see they were at number 24 and it had been a hour ! So we went to the bar and had a beer! Took our time sipping away and then we went back to see we were at number 30! We went to the truck to read newspaper and now we are running about three hours into this! So we head back in and sit right by were you go in and they were at number 38! I told hubby we will be in by nine or so! Well A guy came up to us and offer his tickets to us with the number 42 and they just called the number! So we got in about 9;15 pm. Boy was it worth the wait! great crab legs and the rest of the food was wonderfull! But I filled up on crab legs! hubby filled up on shrimp.

We got out about a hour later so around 10:15 and they were at number 59 so I went around and found a young woman and man who had number 90 and gave them our tickets! She was very excited!

Well we headed home and if I were to do this again I would get there by two and get my ticket for the buffet early!

I got a new clown and had to pick it up at the post office! And of course I couldn't wait to get home so I open the box and look at it! Well the box of Styrofoam peanuts didn't get into the house! So when I went to work the night before I realize it was in my view for backing up! So when I got home I took it out and put it by the truck!
Well hubby put it under the truck tire while working on the trailer and we both forgot about it!
Oh my Gosh!
Hubby pulled the truck around to the garage he ran over the box! Glory be we had Styrofoam peanuts flying all over! Into the woods and to the neighbors ! We ran around trying to pick up the darn stuff!
The neighbors must have thought we were nuts! Plus it must have been one of the windiest days we have had so far! We got most of them!
But what fun I and hubby can find for us to do on my day off!

Finally

This is my hubby new toy! He found one about a year ago and we just couldn't buy it! (didn't have the money) So when he found this one in the news paper I made him get dressed and we had to get gas for the truck and then run out to cotton Minnesota! We drove in to there yard and I knew he wanted it! he got out and look at it and was going to offer them less! But then when he went to talk to the guy selling it he miss took us as the person who was coming at six pm to look at it! he paid him the price he was asking and we took it home! He is now out side working on it!

Just making sure brakes are good and grease in the hubs and the wiring on it! But I never saw a happier man in my life ! He even thank me for rushing him up there yesterday! I told him that I was glad he was happy!

Well its not really getting better this time ! But he is only on five days! The Internet site that I look up on said it take two to three weeks!

I also tried the vinegar and it got worse! So we have stop that! I think I will break down and run to the pharmacy and pick up some poison ivy salve or some calamine lotion to put on it! We tried everything natural and it doesn't seem to work!

Every year he has to get this and it is so miserable to watch him go through it! But this time I was very upset that he took his shirt off because it was hot out and then the next day this is what he gets! ( i told him to put the shirt back on)

Last night he thought he had a fever and I told him to drink more water and to take 2 aspirin! When I got home this morning he was feeling a little better but the rash is still getting worse and it spreading to his back now! Oh how I cant wait for the three weeks to be done!

I believe that every time he gets this it gets worse! like he has less to fight it off ! Some day I think he will not even be able to be close to the poison ivy as the wind might blow it on him!

Also it doesn't help that I do carry it on me and then I pass the oil on to him! I guess I better be more careful!

I read that you can put a weed killer on it, But Because the plant is to close to the lake

I will have to go in on my hands and knees and dig each plant out one by one! Put in bucket and then have to put in a bag and get rid of it! On the site I was on said to throw it away! not to burn or compose! So were do I put it! Put in a bag and let it sit for a few years and figure out from there!

So I can see what my summer will be like! But I don't want anyone else to go through this! I could also lay down some tarps and hope that kills it also but the roots are the hardest part of the plant! And now that they are getting more sunlight because we clean out the area of brush it will spread faster!

I know remember why I wanted to be on days! It was the deprived of sleep during the day! I did go to sleep at 6:45am but I woke up at eleven and now i cant sleep anymore! I do know this takes a while to get use to! The night went good though and it went by fast! So hopefully this will keep up and I will like it better.
I think I was very close to a burn out stage during my day shift! I was getting were I didn't want to go to work anymore! I mean I never want to go but this was a feeling of desperation! I was looking for reason just not to go in!
But I did good and only missed one day for the whole year! my year runs April 28Th to April 28Th .
It seem warm out today until I actually went out side and the wind blew and I realized it was cold! I just cant wait till it warms up a bit more!
I and hubby want to get to the lake property and start getting the poison ivy under control before it starts to grow! ( hubby really allergic) ( I'm not) We will see how the weather is this next week after may May 7Th.
But I always rush my summer in and then its gone! just gone and more cold and snow! yucky!
Also would love to spend more time with my children this year!
Hopefully I will get this night working and sleeping thing down and I will be able to have a great summer!

Hurting myself

I made it through February and march without a back or knee injury! Yeah!
I was cleaning my locker out at work and there were three years of evaluations that were in there so I took the liberty to open them up again and read. When I got to my sick leave usage I saw a red light come on in my head! Gee if I could figure this out the company could too.
Three years ago I ended up out of work in the first week of march with a back injury. Three weeks I was off! Two years ago it was in February and two weeks off for a knee injury. And last year on valentines it was my lower back and I was off two weeks again!
So I asked myself what the heck am I doing wrong!
Well I do pick up a lot of overtime during the first few months so I don't have to worry about it in the summer! Also I work more during Sept. and the Oct. and Dec. I am trying to keep my percentage of work at 85% otherwise my insurance premium would sky rocket and couldn't afford to have it!
So I thought to myself no more calling in for injuries unless I'm dead!
Well I woke up on Wednesday morning and as I got out of bed I stepped on my slipper( which really is more like a shoe) sideways with the arch of my left foot. Oh my did that hurt!
I then took a hot bath thinking that would help! Then I preceded to work and eight hours later foot did not want to be walked on ever again. I was limping around and then I realize my knee was starting to hurt and I called the doctor! The nurse says I should stay off it for a few days and ice pack it!
Well all I could think of was I am not missing anymore work because of a foot injury so I iced it all night and the went to work on Thursday!
I made it through work and it hurt and I limped all day and got home and iced it and kept it up for the rest of the night! I woke Friday and it is a lot better!
I am glad I went to work as this was my last day to be with the day shift as I now start my night shift on Monday and wont be working with them much anymore!( unless I pick up overtime)
I went to nights as I think it will be easier on me! Also I think it will give me more time at the lake during sunlight time! I will be tired at times but with my days off it will work out better!
Now watch it be a rainy season !
Also I hope I like it as I cant get my day shift back!

I have wanted a waffle maker since I had homemade waffles at my daughters home! Her husband had made them for breakfast and they were very good! This waffle iron isn't brand new and isn't that fancy! (no timer on it) But we went to savers at the mall and a man was putting some stuff out on the shelves so my hubby went through the stuff and found this waffle iron! It did not make it to the shelve. We bought it for 2.99 and I just got done making a recipe that I got off the Internet and it was really good! The waffle iron works good! So thanks to hubby I didn't go out and buy the foreman grill generation five for 100.00.
This waffle iron makes one big one at a time but we could only eat two. Okay hubby ate three!
So now I will be online looking for more Belgium waffle recipes! This one I used today was good but I want a richer one!
But I am happy with the iron and will use it till I get tired of making waffles!

I put up the emmett kelly and weary willy photos of my collection and now I found out that they are only good for 29 days and then they must take them off! Boy doesnt make my day! I was trying to make a place were I could put up my clowns and see if anyone out there enjoys them as much as me! Yes I have many more clowns to put up but this was my first try at this! We bought this balloon for our little granddaughter who enjoyed it very much! We went down to visit in the morning and by the time we left at 4:30pm The balloon was popped! I think grammpa helped with that one! But we did get a picture of it so I thought I would put it up to remember the balloon!
We went to the mall yesterday to walk around for exercise and of course my hubby had to go into the Verizon area to look at phones! And guess what! he got one! But it is waterproof up to 30 pounds of pressure up to thirty minutes! What ever that means! I told him not to test it out! Also it suppose to be a little better built if he drops it! Hopefully he wont do that either! It comes with a camera and it has Internet on it but we didn't get that part! But he can take pictures and I can download them to the puter! So now he has a camera for himself!
He is having some problem getting the numbers on it as it really is different from the old phone he had! But I bet in a few weeks he will know it like he had the phone for years!
I was surfing the Internet when I found a web site that sold modular homes so I emailed them and they had one with three bedrooms and laundry room on main floor! And it only cost 52,000.00 I got excited and wanted to go look at it until I added the amount for the moving the house and placing it on basement ! also when you add the basement and sewer and well and furnace and electric hook up and a garage in we still come up to 180,000.00 and we just cant afford it ! Oh well we will keep working on our home here and enjoy it! I now want to get the trim up this weekend! haha well see it took me over four months to get hubby to help me fix the pantry door! But we got it done! But hopefully I can get him moving this weekend!

Valentine Day

I hope all the woman out there got a rose or chocolates! I myself was really happy with working till 6:oo am then going to Walmart to find some spicy candy and chocolate raisins for my hubby! As I went to find him a hat I found a jean jacket on sale and bought that also! When I got home I came in as quite as possible and went downstairs to my hobby room and made a card and then put the stuff in a box and then really quite I went upstairs and put it on his chair! It felt so good to be the one to give and celebrate this day! I always thought (because of the TV ads and the way I was taught in my era of growing up) The men give on this special day! Well to let everyone know my hubby gives every day! When I come home from work he makes me a bath! With bubble bath in it! He even goes out and buys the stuff! He does the wash!( okay wish he put them away) He also does dishes and cleans house! He takes care of changing oil and the upkeep on the vehicles! He does the snow removal and also He has been doing the mowing in the summer! ( I use to do that) I just want the world to know that I love my husband and I felt so good to celebrate with giving him a gift! by the way he never would have found the box that morning as he woke up and decided to take me to breakfast! I had to give it to him! But he was so cute at hiding his disappointment that he himself didn't get me anything! But I told him he gives everyday of is life since I met him! And this valentines day was his day to celebrate how much I love him! I still have that good feeling this morning! And of course he is still sleeping and its 9:30 in the morning! We are going to head up the north shore to Betty pies today to have supper as I found a coupon online it's a buy one get one deal! I get these deal off of Sudden deals! They have coupons for around Duluth area for restaurants and other stuff! Some of the coupons are good deals!

pasties and what fun I had

Okay really this is hard work! We had a small roast beef the other night and I decided the left over beef was going to go into the pasties I made yesterday! Well I started with cubing up a potato into small pieces and then the same with the gr.pepper,celery,onion,carrots,and mushroom,and tomatoes! Then I cubed up the roast beef I had left over. I had left over gravy also! Well then thinking I had enough to make four pasties I made the pie crust and started to make them! Well I ended it making pasties for two hours! I made enough ingredient for twelve pasties! the last one was a little bigger and had more stuff in it! Hubby got that one and he loved it! Well I froze eight of them and we ate four last night! I know one was enough but my god they were Delicious. But know I can take one out for work and hubby can eat one when I'm working overtime! So nothing will go to waste!
Today I'm going to try a asparagus risotto and see how we like it! We tried a new recipe call chicken Thia soup and we like that one! I am trying to make new dishes and spice up our life a little bit! Also these recipes come from a web site called eatbetteramerica and I do like the site! So tonight I will see if I like this new recipe! it looks good!

Well here's the other one I had to get! My hubby liked this as much as I did! on the back side of the camera is a Emmett smile drawn on it! The details are so cute! so for the next few months I got to start slowing down on buying these clowns! ha ha! I have my eye on another one! I know that I should be putting the prices on the bottom of the clowns as I receive them as it would make it easier for the person who gets stuck with these when I pass away! Just think in twenty years these should be worth a mint! Ha Ha they probably wont be worth a dime because of the age group who buy them will be in there graves! There will be a over abundance of them online! But oh well it is fun to get them in the mail!
Wait till hubby wakes up today and finds out my new idea! I am thinking of remoldeling the basement so I can put up shelves and display my clowns in a nicer and roomer way! But it does mean we would have to clean up down here! That might make my hubby have to move out of his easy chair and help me move some stuff out of the basement! But right now I do have a good idea and I could make a bedroom downstairs for when we have all the kids up again! Just thinking !

I know with how the economy is going and soon I could be
laid off, (because we don't really know if my work place will be
around next year), I should not be buying right now! But with husband by my side we decided to do it! Also we bought another one today! I just like the Emmett Kelly clown! You cant get them anymore so I think that is what makes them so special! But I have always like the Emmett hobo and the details that make the clown!
I do one day want to make a blog on my clown collection just to see if I an the only one who is nuts about this or if there are more people out there who are like me! I guess I know there are more out there cause I get outbid on some of the items which I have been trying to get!
Actually today with the freezing rain we are having ,(So we are stuck in the house all day) Would be a good day to do this! But knowing me I will go over to my scrap booking area and start in over there! Then today I promised hubby I would make pasties for him tonight! But being I have tonight off I can stay up late and enjoy the day stuck in the house!

Well I got it and I used it today! oh my is all I can say! I am so out of shape! I did the minimal and was so wore out! I also did my walking on the treadmill before I did it!
I just hope I keep up with it and start to loose some weight! or at least feel good about myself!
I hope the reps of stuff doesn't go up or I'm gonna die! find out tomorrow! but also I have to do the treadmill twice tomorrow! I got the work out plan off the Internet! It starts you out slow but then you keep adding in! So I hope to make it funner this way! I do get so bored on the treadmill. I hope I don't get bored with the WII fit! I hope to keep up with it and open all the games on it! The stupid balance one were you sink the ball in the hole is for the birds! I got only one in! Funny how I forget to lean to the right or left! I guess I will get it soon enough! I couldn't even bat a ball on baseball when I first got it and now I can hit most all of them!
But then I don't want this to get to easy or I know I will just quit it!

well I got suck into buying one of these of eBay! Haven't told hubby yet! I thought i would use it for weighing in and exercise for the new year! Heck I even cleaned off the treadmill!

Well I already try it, like it so what the heck I will just think of the overtime I'm doing will pay for it! I was sure someone would over bid me but no I got stuck with it! But it did have free shipping! there was one I bid on for a little less but it had seventeen dollars shipping so it came to more then this one! I did get out bid on that one but then there was a email that I could buy one for the same price ! but I deleted it and then I saw this one and bid on it! oh well I bought it and now it will be sent to me within six days! So now when the kids come up they can try this out and try skiing or try the snowboarding!

New years eve and New years day

Well my children weren't here , as they came up for Christmas which was very nice. I had a great time! Even though I had to work!
Well the New Years eve came in with a bang for I and Johnnie! I was at work and my sister Janet came over to were I work and told me her car was over heating and she had called my husband to come and help her! Janet then told me to call him back and tell him she didn't need him as a girl from work was going to follow her home! She thinks the heat gauge is stuck! So I call John and then I work for the remaining day!
As I enter my driveway I see our black plow truck over at the neighbors ! That can only mean one thing! It must be broke down again! Because this truck is used to plow it goes through universal in the drive shaft once a year if not twice! So I come into my driveway by the house and the newer truck has the door open and the hood open! All I could say is what the heck is going on!( Those who know me know I didn't say it that nice)
I go into the house and there is my husband on the phone looking for a part for the newer truck!
I try to understand what the heck happen today! I leave for work and all trucks were in driving condition! But eight and half hours later and we only have my jeep running and there is also something going in my right front side but don't dare say anything right now until we get something running.( my point in bringing Janet into story is that even if Johnnie had to come to my work to help her he couldn't have as he had no truck!) I think Janet sucker punch us with bad luck truck day!
Okay my hubby found the part for newer truck and got it running but because it was out of gas we still had to use my jeep to go to sister house for new years eve! We were late! go figure we are always late! But night turn out okay! got to play with my nieces little one (Barbies) This is another if any one knows me I don't really like to play barbies! But I did it and she locked me in the bed room and told me I couldn't leave! I finally got out and then it was my sisters joy turn to go in there and play! We played dice games and brought the new years in and then went home!
New Years day Janet and her family came up and I made dinner and we played the wii machine! I also played with Miss Mckenna with some of Evelyn's toys! she loved the little rider and the firehouse with the balls in! So all in all the New Years is here and the plow truck will be fix today and we also have a snowstorm coming for sat. and sun.

okay lets be honest with myself and then I think I can start moving forward! It seems to me if I start to fill good and I lose weight, I then go to proceed to destroy it with quiting the exercise then I start to eat anything and everything! So why do I do this! I have no idea! But just two years ago I was really working out and my pants were starting to fit me! I really felt good about my self! Now look at me! I'm back at the weight I never wanted to be at! My legs ache so bad and by night they swell up were I barely can walk! Now I ask my self is this what I want to be! NO! But what made me go back here! Why do I do this to myself! Is it being lonely? Am I bored with my life?
My life is moving at a very fast pace! I just remember that I am 51 this year! I still thought I was 50. I also think I am losing my memory! just little things! The doc says its normal at this time in my life! Well you know what I don't think its normal and I want to also exercise my brain as well as my body!
I joined loser online on face book and I hope to get inspired to try and get going again and feel better about me! For my brain I want to at least read one book a month on true events and learn from them! so this month I will read up on New york (because I got the book and yes I am going out there in Sept.) Also I cleaned the treadmill off and downloaded a exercise program to go with it!
Also I want to try and blog some more to keep my mind active!
So I hope to keep up with this and not get lazy again!

I could just jump for joy! I found were my movie I'm making went! I saved it before one of the shut downs! Man sometimes I do use my brains! Well this morning I got it ready to go except for the music! But then I think tonight I will try to burn it and see how it looks!

I was looking for some old music I had put on here and I found my movie file! cool that I can do that! Of course I don't want to sound dumb again but it was in the video file in my picture file! gee how stupid!

So I just want to say I'm am happy that I didn't shoot the computer yesterday!

Well is it just me or does anyone else get so mad at Microsoft windows program ( the movie making one) I could get a gun and shoot this darn computer! I work for over four hours on making me a movie disc to download so I would have a nice DVD of my son and wife wedding pictures to show off to the family! but hell no! I got it set up four times and one time I just lost it! it just blooped away off the screen and had to reload and set up again! Then it froze up on me and I tried to reset it and boom gone again! did it again and it did the same thing! I just get so mad! I ended up shutting the computer off and said the heck with it! But tomorrow I will try again! I also was trying to down load some music to put on it and having trouble with that! its been a while since Ive done this, so I have to do it a few more hours to remember how!

Well its been along time since Ive been back here to post a note!
I went to work early Yesterday and my knee was killing me by the eight hour that I usually work and I had to still get four more hours done before going home! I did make it but ended up on the couch and having leg up on pillow! I feel asleep for a few hours and then made supper and back to the couch to watch some movies! I had a good night sleep and when I woke up I thought my knee felt a little better so I would make the day just great! But I got to go home early because of over staff and I clean my house and now I am just sitting on putter goofing off!
It has been raining out all day and it so dark and gloomy out! I should have known the weather would be bad! My knee was trying to tell me something yesterday!
Okay guys let me tell you about this chain letter going around again! you are suppose to put a scratch off and send it to six people who then put your name first and send it to six more people and I'm suppose to get thirty six scratch offs! Well I cant find six people to even send it to! So Yes I scratch the ticket and I didn't win and then I threw it away! When I went to scratch it I said if I even win two dollars I would send it out! But no I didn't win a thing! My sister is going to try it and I told her not to address one to me! Heck if all my sister hit each other up we could just buy each other the thirty six tickets and see who wins!
Well I am a waiting for my daughter to give me the call so I can go to st.Paul and help take care of the grandchild as she is having the other grandchild! Heck anything to get out of work! It was so cute to day when hubby said we should have the suitcase pack in case she calls! Even hubby is getting excited! I am rushing this by two weeks almost but heck I'm sure she wants it over with!

This is my side of the house going into the back yard! They got the dirt back in but it still needs to be groom more! The little black thing there is what is taking the water from under our house and shooting it out the pipe away! it only comes on once in awhile so I figure by another week it wont even be coming on! But it may be ugly but it will keep the water from coming into our basement! yeah!

After they get done with with the yard I want to cut it down a bit so the pipe will be right on the ground! The other white pipe sticking out is the clean out to the sewer for all the grey water that wasn't suppose to be going into the ground! But hey we bought the house with it like that! Now we fix it so when we sell (if we do) At least were legal and up to code! And the excavator who did the job really gave us a deal! I think he knew how hard it is for us right now and he did give us a break! For two days work and long hours it only came to 1,100.00. I didn't think that was to bad!

Also he took the satellite dish and hes coming back for the car in a few days! So I got rid of some stuff! I also got rid of a old puter that really wasn't mine but my hubby aunts, but I didn't want it and she didn't so I gave it away . More out of my basement! Now I just got to keep going!

The guy that help the excavator wanted to have the mini bike I got out back and I just couldn't give it away! It doesn't work but it has sentimental meaning behind it! Someday I might get it fix or just get rid of it but today wasn't the day! I did tell him if it went missing and I didn't know I guess I really wont care! But slowly and surly I think we might get this house clean up! But tonight I'm going to go up and put my feet up and relax and not worry about anything! I got two movie to watch and oh yeah I think lost is on tonight !

Wow! I never felt so dumb in my life as I did these last few days! Something with my protection for the pewter went AWOL and really took out the computer! I was on the phone one day for over six hours when we thought we had it fix! Then I come home from work and find out that it reset back to were it was the night before! Only this time I can't get on the Internet no matter what I do! So I call them up again and now I'm on the phone for maybe three more hours when the guy tells me to set it back to when I got the computer new from dell! Hey I'm back online and got most everything back up but lost all my pictures and games! But I can put my games back in and get some new picture on here! I have them on a DVD! smart I was about that one!

So now that I am back I feel relieved and going to try every program I have to make sure it works! May take me a while for some of the programs I don't really use!

I just cant believe how fast life is passing me by! Last post on my blog is way back in October! it really doesn't seem that long ago when I was typing on here! But that is how short life is and how fast it goes by!
Went to work this morning at two am. Overtime! And when I got to the time clock there was a notice put up that a co worker had just died! I really didn't know her that well and only work with her a few times! I asked the supervisor what had happen! She stated that she was found in her car in the garage! Nothing else was said! This was probably about three in the morning! By nine o'clock break, a few other co workers were stating they heard it was suicide! The story was about the same but a few more things had been added! I just listen and then went back into work and decided to just let it go! The gossip line at work is terrible! By the end of the day there was more stuff added and this poor women had killed herself and talk to a former employee before she did it! She also had tried to do herself in months before!
Well for the sake of peace and mind I tried not to let myself get to involved with this gossip and I don't really care what happen , a co worker had died and she was a hard worker and a nice person! I don't want to remember her as a nut case who was down on luck and depressed and killed herself! So I am throwing the gossip away and just going with she is gone. And I will remember her as I knew her. ( oh yeah) I remember that I and her went to the same curves club! I quit and joined anytime fitness! I don't know if she was still going to the curves or not!

As I was sitting her typing my light above my head burned out! It is one of those energy kind and was it weird how it went out! flickered and went dim for awhile then came back to the brightness and then back to dull! I thought at first the furnace was acting up and making the electricity in the house go dim! But I went upstairs to find out that hubby said he didn't notice anything happening up there so I came back down to finish this and it finally went out! So until I get hubby down here tomorrow I am going to use my light on the desk for tonight!

plans for tomorrow are to move the washing machine and put the freezer in the utilities room and make another closet! I have most of the stuff to make shelves and I would love to organize my basement! also going to finish the ceiling in the extra bathroom! Those are the plans but I will probably get nothing done! after the doubles I get so tired the next day! But we will see!

Oh its so cool I have a CD in the putter and didn't even know it and I started the music player and surprise it started to play! I thought cool I found a station that plays Enya ! ha ha it was my CD and when I figure it out I was just dumb founded at how dumb I am sometimes! okay and tired also! But I forgot how much I love this CD!!!!!

I must be getting back into my routines as I did the second page of the year old scrapbook for my grand baby! I order some more pictures at 6 cents a pic! Usually I pay 12 cents so I got a deal!

I have a lot of fun doing this and I don't feel as I wasted two hours of my time!

Tonight I am going to do another one!

This morn. I got the extra bedroom carpet washed and got the base board in the house and now I just got to striped the old stain of the baseboard and re stain them and put them in the room and I can put the bed back in there!

I have decide to get this house finished so I can get a price to put it on the market! Even if it ends up we cant sell at least the house will be finished , I wanted it to be done for years!

I think the playing the WII machine has given me extra energy ! It really is more exercise then I realize! When playing the games I don't realize the effort I put into trying to win! Like bowling I realized I even take the stupid steps like whats up with that! all I have to do is throw my hand forward! I even put extra energy into golfing! Boxing is unbelievable! I thought I would have a heart attack! Hubby has tried it also! This is our exercise program for while we are in the house! Just think we use to sit and watch TV for hours! At least for one to two hours we are playing a WII machine! Order a new game that comes with a remote so now we will have our own remotes!

Also I am going to Finnish a project I start many years ago! Sewing machine is out and all I have to do is get my butt over there and start the project up again! I really want to finish this quilt before I die!!! Maybe I can get another one going!

Roomates left us

I shouldn't sit here and think how sad I am because my roommates have now left and are on there way to Arizona to live! But should be happy for them as they embark on there new life in a new area! They have wanted to move out that way for many years now! And the dream is here! I called them this morning just to see how far they are! They have been driving since three am this morning and were close to De Moine Iowa!
Roommates were my sister and husband! My sister is five years older and I looked up to her for my security blanket at times! When she was here in town we could go months without seeing each other ! But now it could be years for me as my hubby doesn't like to travel! Plus with the way the job of mine is going ( will I have a job ) it will only be if they come back here!
Having live with us was a really great experience and I must say I was nervous when it approach and they moved in! But now I will say I miss them so much!
If and when they come back they are welcome to stay with us!
Funny how I have change my idea of sharing a home! sometimes it came in handy! Especially when I and hubby were staying at the lake property! They babysat our home for us!
But I look forward to hearing from them when they get down to Arizona and call me they made it! Then when they move into there new home! I cant wait to get the pictures of the house with furniture in it!
And maybe I will just have to leave hubby home and go out there sometime in the early spring and visit with them! You never know I might even get daughter and grand baby to go with me!

okay why do I feel the need to write about my birthday? Why do they need to come so fast? Who invented getting older?
I've had many people come up to me and state that my birthday is coming up and what are you going to do? A girl at work who tries so hard went out and bought me a sausage egg MC Muffin as my present and I ate it! So there went my salad and my deer stew I made last night and I just had a yogurt for lunch instead I would have just settle for a Happy Birthday
( maybe not) it felt good that she wanted to get me something. It wasn't her fault that I'm trying to eat different and one of the foods I'm taking out is MC Donald's!
Then I get home from work and my aunt Lois called and she is going out of town for a week and wanted to take me out for dinner! I thought I could handle this and would order something that would fit into my new eating habits! So because I was so hungry I order the full rack of barbecue ribs from the blue max ( This restaurant was written up about there ribs in the paper) You get a salad bar and soup and a pop over and the the ribs came out and all I could do was say! OH MY GOD ! there were enough ribs to feed a small army! I began to eat and found out I over ate again! I brought home more then half the meal! I was so miserable and felt the need to lay down! This is what I'm trying not to do anymore! So I thought if I just put it in my head it was a step down this week and try hard to get back on track!
Now I just talk to a friend named Tammy who babysat my kids for years! She wants to go somewhere to eat and have a drink. Because remember you only turn fifty once! I wanted to yell at her that I know this and I cant stand the thought that I'm going to be half of a hundred! I don't feel it, but my body tells me every day when I get up that I have to suffer with pain . Its just the law of gravity! Well I told we would have to go either Monday or Tuesday because the rest of the week I am busy! She says she will let me know when!
So then I also have to have my dad and sister and brother over for dinner on Thurs, for my birthday and my hubby is taking care of the food! Well guess what we are having? Pizza! its my favorite food! Also figure this out there will be beer! Now lets see I will eat pizza and beer and my sisters will be here! I know darn well I will drink more beer then needed! But with the big family I might not have to worry about the pizza! Then I made plans for Friday to go to the power house for happy hour on Friday to try there free pizza and have more (guess what) Beer!
Then finally I will get to get up early and head for Minneapolis to go to antique sale and stay with my kids and see the little one! And I'm looking very forward to this part of the week! I want so much to see Jamie and Jason and there better half's Don and Tressa and best of all the little Evelyn who doesn't know to even ask Grammy whats it feel to be fifty! she will just give me a cuddle and show me her toys!
hey do you think they put the little ones on earth to make us old people feel good! When she says gramma ,I feel like my world is meant to be! I feel great to be old and that my children have grown and they are starting the new eras of little Rowe's!
Then last night I get a call that there having a good bye party for my sister Jackie and her husband Steve , so now I have to leave early Sunday to get home for that! I just want to have it slow down!
Could we spread the fun around on different weekends! But I guess my worry about food and beer will have to start up again on Monday! I will be back to work and get my life back on tract and start over again! And all this feeling crappy about turning fifty will be over and I can start stressing out over fifty one next year!
Does anyone out there know if the government turn the clocks up to full speed! I cant slow down and this is the worst part of getting older! When you are young you cant wait to grow up and when you get there all you think is how fast your life is passing you by!
Stop and smell the roses is a very true saying! Rush by and you wake up one day wishing you could go back!

summer is here

I haven't been on here since the beginning of June! Reason is I have been really busy doing land work up at the lake property! We were going to head out today but it started to rain and then it would get nice and we start to pack again and then it would rain! after the third time we gave up and decided to stay at home! But I did get a lot done! Clean the house and made a nice spaghetti dinner and I even got a page done in the scrapbook! While I was cooking the dinner I put a CD in the DVD player and listen to music so I even did a little exercise as I dance away!
I even got to see and chat with the grand baby and my daughter and hubby and Amy my daughters friend that I haven't seen in years! So that made the morning a little brighter!
Also I figured out how to burn a DVD slide show so next time I am home for a while I will be burning some pics on a DVD.
Man its already going on seven pm and I feel as my day just started! I really enjoyed sleeping in today! But tomorrow I will be up early and get to the lake to make sure the raft didn't float away again! And with the wind storm we had there will be trees down! I guess Saginaw area was with out electricity for most of the night! Ours at home here just blinked off! Duluth was without for many hours also! the wind was really strong and some trees here at home were down!
But for tonight I am going to go upstairs to our roommates and hubby and watch TV and have a piece of cake and relax!
I hope I can get back on here again and get my typing skills going again!
Just a question out there to anyone who reads this do you think its illegal to go to the cemetery were my friend is and have a beer with her! Just one! I thought it sounded like a good idea one day but then I don't want to get into any trouble so I never went!

babbling

I've been feeling the summer pressures again! As I get older I realize I don't want to work anymore during the summer!
I would rather just stay at the lake and work up there! We have started to extent the yard!
Hubby pulls the rocks out and I put the dirt in and then when we get a area done I cut the the brush and make more lawn! When we get done it doesn't even look like we did anything! It looks like its been the lawn all the time!
We are going back up on Tues, to do more work! Start on another area were we can do rocks and dirt and then mow! If we get this area done we will be bring over the volley ball net!
That way on this sat. we can play volley ball again!!
The lake has warm up a bit. How do I know? my sisters boy and friends stay in there forever! just the other weekend they made it about ten minutes! So far everyone who has went for a swim loves the new beach! Makes me feel good as I didn't get ripped off on the price of the land!
We found out how much to get electricity and it isn't that much! But now is it worth it until we decide to build! ( if we do) Everything up there is propane except for lights and TV and radio! We use the car or truck now for radio!And when you are swimming and doing rocks you don't need radio then! We usually have radio sitting around the fire at night!
Judy, Howard and Kevin came up two sat, ago Joy also came up and stayed over! We really had a fun time! In the morning joy me and Janet went for coffee. On the way back we stopped at a rummage sale! I got a new toy for Evelyn so when she comes up! When we got back the three of us were in a tired mood and we got so giggly and we were making jokes about the people on the lake fishing! Janet even told them to release the fish they caught as it was our fish! They released it as we started to laugh! The people were laughing also ! They seem to enjoy the teasing! We really got nothing done this day! Missy showed up both sat. and sun.and we enjoyed having her and the girls up there! Of course we did work Missy out when putting the slide out on the raft! She did scream when entering the water! But that weekend was still cold! Even hubby yelled when he hit the water! Kyle though seem to love it!
So this morning I got up and started cleaning out the extra bedrooms and get them ready for my children who I can't wait to come up and see us! If it gets hot out they just might want to stay at the lake and forget being miserable at the house! But still I am anticipating the fun of just being with them!

My space

I've been playing around on my space trying to set up a site for myself! Having some trouble, but as I go on I figure out more about how to use the site! I really don't think its that difficult but at times I could scream! I also downloaded a game the other day and had a blast on my puter for over eight hours! Now tell me that wasn't a waste of time!
My hubby even came down and help with the game!
We finally got up to the lake last weekend and have been moving the trailers and furniture over to the other side of the lake! Finally using the property we bought! It is a lot different then I am use to! More walking though! Out house is further away! And until we decide what we are going to be doing we can't move it over just yet! We have started to pull rocks now and trying to mow the area we cleaned up last year! We are hoping to get it to look like a lawn! But on Tues. I want to start to call around to see what the amount to get going on building and how much we need up front to start!
Then up to the bank to see what a constructing loan is and how to use one!
But we will be back at the lake again on Tues and staying up there for the week again! So then the next time I come home I can play on here again!
Had to put the gym on hold for the summer as I just don't have any time for it right now! So I will do more walking at the lake! OH my I went into the lake this last Tuesday evening and it was cold but the beach is so nice! ( no mud) Anyone who goes to the lake will understand mud! But this side of the lake is sandy and some rocks! putting out the raft on this Tues when we get up there!
Well got to go and visit other site before I go to bed as I work in the morning and then puter will be shut down for another week!

This is the start to a new adventure for me and my husband! We finally did something that will improve the house value of our home! This is how we tore the old kitchen out ! We even had to use our faith full Bertha the sledge hammer! But we got the kitchen all tore down! We tore it out in one day and had a few beers as we did it! Just to say good bye to over twenty seven years with this kitchen!

We went to Menard's and had bought cabinets that you had to put together and then we order the counter top! Okay I now know why you don't do this as we found a better cabinet at skips Ware house up on the rice lake road! So we brought the cabinets back and tried to cancel the counter tops! They took the cabinets back but we were stuck with the counter! ( So I will make a hobby station downstairs for me!) We then went and bought the other ones! So before you buy pick out what you want first and wait with the counter tops as that is the last thing to go on! It took us three hard working weeks to get the new kitchen in! Hubby almost electrocuted himself on a outlet putting the plate on it! It actually started a fire! We put it out and fix the outlet and its working fine! Hubby is okay! I was scared to death for a least a hour later! But yes I got over it! The sound that outlet made when it was arcking out! the smell from the fire ! I did shack for a while after!

But we are done with this project and we are the proud owners of a great new kitchen! I love my kitchen! And to be honest, my hubby pick out the way we were going to do the new kitchen! I think he might have found a new hobby in life!

3. Love to go to lake and relax and swim and be lazy and just have a few beers around the fire.
4. Mowing the lake property with the riding lawn mower is actually fun, as there is so much space to mow!
5. Deer hunting as I like how I feel when I sit out there and see the nature and wild life for real.
6. Skiing down hill makes me feel good as it give me a little high when going down some hills as fast as I can go.
7. Being a mom has been a wonderful experience. Realizing how easy it is to give out your heart to another soul.
8. Being married to the most wonderful man in the world and knowing that we will have are ups and downs and always be together for a life time!
9. Being a grandmother is a very special feeling and knowing that the love I have is also shared once again to another little soul!
10. My spirit in just living! I live to enjoy as much live so that when I get older I will have memories to share with the love ones who will be bored out of there minds as I go on and on with my stories.

You notice I didn't put in my temper! I wish I could get rid of it but no matter how I try someone or something will stir my up and pow! I go off and turn into the mad Joan that I can be!
I wish dearly that my children never take over that part of me, but at times I do see it in them!
Hopefully they have there dads patients .But all in all I think my children have done wonderfully in there life's! I do know they have the loving and caring from us as I watch how they live there life's!

remembering our past!

As we get older we tend to forget a lot of the little things we did with our children as we get older! This picture was taken at the Paul Bunyan up in Bemidji! The place is gone! It was a very small place with a few rides and things for the kids to look at! But I remembered that when I was small and I loved that I got to go there, so we brought our children there! I remembered it as so big and now I think about when we brought our children there it wasn't that big at all!

There was this chicken game were you put in a quarter and the chicken was trained to play baseball and then he would get some feed for doing it! Now I think about it how mean it was to keep a chicken in a cage and it got to eat when it put the show on for us! But back then I thought wow this is so cool!

I really don't know if the kids even remember it! But they had this cool ride were they had to hand pedal the cart around the track! But they seem to enjoy the ride! Even though they had to work at it!

You can see how big Paul Bunyan was as the kids sit on his feet!

I really enjoyed my time of scanning in the pics and making them look good and now I can paste them anywhere I want! This has been so fun for me! I must say when I get the burning to the DVD figured out I will be thinking this will be my second hobby! (first is still scrapbooking) But the quilting is getting harder to find time to do!

Between doing the kitchen and getting over being sick again!

I have had some time to scan in some old pics of my children and play with my photo program! ( now I got to figure why I am having a time getting them burned)

But eveything takes time!

As I made the story book up and got it like I wanted with the right song and motions , I brought my hubby down to watch it! He doesn't even notice the fading ,music or the song! He just notice the pictures and realized how much of his life he has forgotten about! ( me too) but we wouldnt tell him that!

I finally got to use my camera and see my grandbaby online a few weeks ago! That was a such a Joy! I get to see her right now as im doing this post! She hit her head and I wanted to cry with her! but being such a good girl she didnt cry that long! got to see her sing and play peek a boo and watch her eat a banana! I wish I could get down and visit with her! I hope we are done with this kitchen by next weekend!

Well I found out a cousin of mine has lou grehitt disease and I feel really bad about this! I'm not that close to her , but just knowing what this disease does to you, I wouldnt want my worse enemy to get this! Not that I have any enemy's! I went unline last night to look it up and find out what I could about it! I really wanted to know if it could be in the genes and pass into the family! But all I found was more about the disease and what it does to you!

I think back to my years growing up and I would have to gone to the library to look something up ! But now days just turn the puter on and away I go! I think of the tenology that has come during my life span and what more could possibly come! I wonder if time travel is around the cornor! Now that one I might be interested in! I of course would like to go backwards! I would love to live in the victorian days! Or just visit I should say!

Well I went all out and got me a new puter! Wow do I love this thing! I never have to talk to my hubby ever again! I can play games.watch TV and research on the Internet all at once! Learning to make slides and trying to get the music on it right now! takes me awhile but I do seem to get further everyday i play on here!

I never thought that I could learn to do all that I have on the computer! I still remember that first day when I put up many empty files but never new how to open them! Let alone put something in there! Now I can download and redo files and scan pictures or print up cards and other things! Now I just have to learn how to use the many different programs I have on my new puter!

Went out today to get a web camera and instead came home with kitchen cub boards to be put in next week! so my house will be able to be put on the market! Maybe tomorrow I will get up to get the camera!

So I guess I'm gonna go upstairs now and introduce myself to hubby again and watch a movie and make some supper! But I can't wait to get back down here and play.....

I must say that this cold I got sure took it out of me! I think I'm okay,then I wake up feeling like I got hit by a semi truck! I haven't been to exercise gym in ten days I finally said enough of that and I went down yesterday and today! Its like starting over again! my feet are hurting and I notice I'm not giving it my all! So no more getting sick and not going to the gym! I gotta loose this weight! I am hubby got to bring my sister down on Monday to the airport! i felt really good that day and then on the ride home I started feeling sick again! We did stop at the modular house again! They are having a sell this weekend! But we are not ready yet! I need to get my house appraised before we jump into anything! But just today after I get home my hubby is outside getting his atv ready for a trip on sat. Gee whiz! We need to get this house done!
Okay I hope that the new puter comes soon as this little thing I'm using is really bugging me! I got use to the puter my son in law gave me and it was lots faster! This one is so sloooow! Driving me nuts! Downloaded some pictures for scrap booking and thought I would have to wait about a hour or so to receive them! I hope to be online with the new puter on Monday! Okay maybe Tuesday! I cant wait! First thing I'm gonna do is down load pictures to a DVD and learn how to use the rewrite! It says I can copy to CD and also to DVD at the same time! I am going to hook up the old mouse cause I got a bad habit of chewing on it when I get mad! Then I think I will put the new one on! Save it for when I know how to use the puter! haha! But I finally will get a camera and then my little grandchild can see me instead of just hear me!

I was so happy to have a little time to see my son! I enjoyed making the tortillas and eating with him on sat. I wish I could have stayed up later on Friday but I get so tired when I have to work! I exercise and then by eight o'clock I am in bed! Then I felt so bad on Sunday when I got home from exercising after work and my hubby says he went up to get me but I had gone to the other gym! So he told me that my son had called if we wanted to meet with us to eat at my favorite restaurant ! Well we didn't get to go!I was to late! Darn it!

I really was impressed with my son when he showed me what he does at his job! He showed me his web site and how it works! I really was fascinated by how much work goes into it! Funny how when I use a web site I don't even think of the work that goes into it! I just go in use it and do what I have to do or play games or puzzles! When I go searching on a site for products I realize now how much work goes into the drop bar!

It just make me so proud of my little baby! (He's gonna love that one) But he is my baby!!!!

I wish I could spend more time with both my children as I suppose most parents do! That saying don't wish away your days is so right! Like when at work I wish I was on my days off! or if I know something on a certain weekend I wish my days away to get there! Or when the kids were small and I wish they walked or wish they could make there own breakfast! But now I just wish to be with them and wish the days would slow down! All I do is wish, wish ,wish.

Well I skip the gym today as i was just to tired to go! I had to go to a inservice today after work and let me tell you after spending a day and night and day there , two days off isn't enough time to get myself to have some relief from there! That stupid blizzard just had to hit on Thursday! They had signs up from 10.am that we would not be able to leave the premises until further notice! Well I had to stay and work two shifts then I had to try to sleep there and get up and do another shift! The people work very hard to keep it running! They had cooks who made meals for all the staff and residents! The maintenance men work around the clock to remove the snow in case we had a emergency!well all in all we did very good and most of the workers complained but we made it!
Well now we find out that we will not be paid for the time we had to be off the floors! To sleep or really to just lay there! They had some people stay on the down time for sixteen hours and just to work the morning shift! They will not be payed! I think that is just down right rude! Most of the staff did not have a choice! They management called it a emergency and that means we are to stay! Well don't you think they could pay us! You realize people were sleeping in chairs and small couches and on the floor with blankets!
Are supervisor got a bunch of old matrest from the basement up and we laid them on the floor! But it was very uncomfortable!
I at least get paid for my shift and then a overtime shift then no pay to lay there and wish I were home with hubby, then I get reg. pay for my day shift on Friday! ( Which was suppose to be my day off) I know i picked this career but I think they still can pay us something for the down time! There has to be some law to protect us from this! So now we will wait and see if are union has any balls to help us out! The contract I work under states that if you are in the building you will be paid!

Its been awhile since I wrote! But thought I should do one up again!
Well its been a busy week here for me! Coming home from work after working out at the gym for a hour and half to find my yard had been plow by the crazy plow man! My hubby has this tendency to plow the whole yard! And I mean the whole yard! But this time he even plowed the back yard! I should be use to this but then he comes up with the new idea's and it just blows me away!
Okay I'm over that now! But we do have another storm coming in and" gee "I hate to see what he does this time!
I finally got to see my god daughter get married! I just hope she is doing this for the right reasons! OH was she beautiful dressed up in her gown! And her guy was gorgeous in his military outfit! The judge that married them was very good! He was amazed at how many family members had cameras! Oh yeah! Guess who forgot to charge her batteries up! me!!!! So now I have to depend on pictures sent to me!! But I have them charge now! Going to go see the grand baby this weekend! And hopefully my son! I hope the storms isn't to big and doesn't stop us from going! I have been looking forward to this for awhile!
Maybe the going nuts at hubby for the plowing has him saying things to me to make up for it! He told me today ( I was going on how this exercise thing isn't even working ) that I am losing the fat face and chin ! He just saying that because I put so darn much work into exercising and I feel it isn't doing anything! I've really cut down on the eating and I hardly have any beer! I did have one this week! But I gain four more pounds again! I think it's time to go see the doc again and see what is going on! Yes I know about muscle and you gain but I have been going to the gym everyday for almost three weeks ! there should be a change going on here! But I don't see it and my clothes don't feel it either! But I am not giving up! I do feel a lot better! except for the wanting to go to sleep mode I'm in! I have been going to bed before seven and eight pm, and waking up at four or five in the morning!
I started drinking cranberry juice! And I also started looking up recipes that are low calories! I made this one with pineapple and chicken! It had jalapeno peppers in it and brown sugar and soy sauce! it was really good! I must say using the Internet to get recipe is really a good idea! I love to look for new ideas!
Well hubby got his new book I ordered him from amazon.com and he is reading now! He will read till he finishes it! But at least he isn't plowing! (lol)

Valentines Day!
It was a very tiring day as I had to work at 6am and then back to work at 10pm. So me and hubby went out to eat on the thirteenth instead and had a nice lunch at the restaurant! We then went home and watched a movie called guardian! We really liked it!
Well I went to bed and got up early and went to work as usual. Hubby clean the house and did the dishes from eating junk food during the movie! When I got home he had a bath ready and told me we were going to go out to eat at our valentine spot! (Buffalo house) But as I was in the bath hubby got phone call that his niece needy money for gas or she won't make it home so we had to go give her money at 5pm! So we didn't have time to go to our restaurant! We did go to a little cafe instead. it wasn't great food but it was okay! While hubby and I waited for the meal to come we started a new game! We played twenty questions! Okay I know it isn't new but for us it is! All the questions ask were about either him or me! To see how we know each other!
I must say that hubby did better then me! He knew my favorite food and sport and movies I like and hobby's ! I didn't know his color or books he likes!
So lesson learned again! My hubby pays more attention to me then I do to him! I guess I will have to change that and give him more attention!
We met up with his niece and he filled her tank up with gas! And then he brought me home and to bed I went! I did get up to see half of my show "lost!" Then watch the rest the next day when I got home!
So all in all I think this valentine day was the best in along time! just learning to be together and we talk about things we haven't in along time! Like we were dating again! I wish we would have had more time! I guess next time we go out to eat we will not get a newspaper and try to chat or play twenty questions again!

Did I ever think that I could love another child that wasn't mine?

Oh my! To even think that I could ever question that! The love I have for my daughters child, My first grandchild, is just as I have for my own children! I would give my life if I needed to!

Its so funny how are hearts just open up and let another love enter into it!

I still can feel the feeling I got when my daughter offered me to come and be in the room with her and her husband To watch the baby be born! I never got to view a birth before! (of course I got to give birth) But when I saw how great her husband supported her during the hard back labor my daughter went through I really saw the love that her hubby had for her! And I just got to say Thank you for loving my daughter! And my heart opens up and more love is entered in, as I see a whole new image of my son in law!

As I see the head come into view at the time she was born I had tears in my eyes of joy and happiness that comes when a angel is born! She entered into my heart the moment I saw her! I look over at my daughter and wanted to scream its a girl! But I toned it down and just said oh its a girl and she is so beautiful! I look over at her hubby and he too look ready to cry! ( or he really might have been teary eyed) The process of the birth was done and now we had our first grandchild!

I still remember grandpa finally got to come into the room to see his grandchild! Her name is Evelyn. Evelyn grab on to his finger! He was so proud that moment to have this little hand grab him! I got a picture of it and you can see he fell in love with her!

So now looking back and I really don't know if I ever got to thank my daughter for letting me have this experience with her! It was a wonderful joy to watch and to know she loves me that much to let me into that part of her life!

If ever I learned something that day was the joy when a family grows! Its really hard when the children you have grow up and leave and marry and have there own life's! As parent you hope they have happy and loving relationships and that life will be easy on them! And now me and my hubby as we grow older and wiser get to watch our children life's as they grow with there adult life! As parents you learn so many different kinds of love! Sharing, caring, accepting, releasing, understanding, and learning.

Scrapbooking has become very excessive for me! I am so absorbed with it! Today I got up early because I gave up on sleeping, as all I could think of was how I was going to do a page in my grand baby's scrapbook!

I started it around 6.30am and had it done by 12.30pm ! I really didn't even notice the time had flown past me! All I new was looking up at the clock because I was hungry and almost fell off my chair! Lots of hours wasted on cutting and pasting pics and designing! The thought acquired to me that if I could find a job in this I might have found what I have been looking for in life! I love to design a page and when I get one done its like" Wow" I get so proud of what I make!

Maybe I could make a commercial! Because some of the ones I'm seeing lately need to get some life into them! And what is with the pharmaceutical commercials ! By the time they rant off the side effects who would take them! why even make a commercial. lets get back to some old fashion fun stuff that made you laugh! Might make you by a product because you remember it from laughing at it!

Well I did get to my exercise and did my hour and half of body killing torture exercise! But I do feel better when I go! I still have to push myself to go and it makes me so mad that I just cant get to where I want to go! When the weather was twenty below there was no way I was leaving the house to get in a cold car to go exercise . Then get sweaty and get back in the car to go home .

So I sat for almost ten days on the couch and watch TV. Only thing I got out of the house was to go to work! Hell if i could have called in for that I would have! But I really felt the pain when i started back at exercising! Dumb I should have did the walking part on my treadmill. But that would have been smart! So I have decided not to waste another day without exercise! and I'm going to start to eat better! That's because all the left overs are gone from the Superbowl game!

Well it went great! To much food! I myself made enough for a hundred people and yet the couple's who came brought more! The bears didn't win! Man I just cant pick the team to win! I must say I was in bed by nine thirty and I made it to work and when I got home yesterday hubby had the house spic and span! I was very impressed! I also took a 2 hour nap then I watch prison break and off to bed I went again! I am very sleepy lately! But I really don't sleep a whole night! I wake up because of hot flashes! I do realize when I work out that seems to improve it! I have slack off somewhat with the cold weather! starting tomorrow morning I will go and exercise and then keep going everyday except when I do my doubles! Which I have two coming up this week! Yucky! But I need to get my hours in so I can slack of this summer!

Now for everyone who loves the show" Lost" first show starts tomorrow and I forgot and have to be at work at ten thirty! So that means I leave here at nine thirty! But I think I will call in and tell them I will be a half hour late and watch it! I really want to see the first show! Been watching this show since it started up! Just like the show prison break I enjoy that one also! But my very favorite show is Grey anatomy! So I watch TV on Monday and wed and also Thursday! What a life as you get older! I just wait to see these shows! I really get upset when I miss them! This fall I went and bought a new DVD rewrite so I could tape the shows when we went hunting but I goofed it up and it didn't work! I did figure out what I did wrong and so I can tape them now!

Well I thought I would take a break and do a post on my blog! That sound's so funny for me to read! Me writing! Okay so what am I taking a break from! Well I made some bacon chicken wraps and spirals and my taco dip and I also got the chicken legs ready to go for tommorrow!
I clean the bathroom and got the new chalking on the floor!( looks good) Got the table up stairs and chairs! So Im ready to go for tomorrow!
I have to say that thanks to my hubby he found out we were out of heating oil and ran to buy some as were we get it from is close today! So he found containers and went to the gas store and got thirty gallons and put it in! We now will have heat for the football game! Yeah.
I really dont know how we get into these predicaments all the time! We are getting older and forgetting more! We might have to start with keep fill! Cant forget then!
Well look at this my msn is going to take me off again ! should i tell them about it or just say dont tell! Jezz big decesion!
okay I guess I will just have to head back upstairs and start more cleanning! This getting ready for the super bowl is really not so bad! Maybe because my hubby is helping me!
That last time we did something with the superbowl, hubby and I and netty went to munger taver and there was tons of food and I also won hudred and thirty dollars on the board so we had money for spending on our drinks! I won the first quarter! So i bought all the drinks! netty of course had fun and she was a talking to everyone she could get to listen to her! We both took monday off so we didnt have to go to work! But of course I had no one to remind me and I do have to get up early to work on monday so I will have to drink more water this year! Better for the body!
I hope this getting ready for the game is worth it! I always worry that no one will show or everyone will show and then you dont have enough food! But this year I got smart! Im making things that came be put in while we are watching . So I can put in as much as I need! Maybe getting older is a good thing. I think about the waste and expences that you put out instead of just going out and over doing it!Well I am going to go for the bears this year! only because they are closer to us! I really dont care which one wins but you have to choose someone to yell for during the game! Hope I will have a voice for work in the morning!

I don't know if anyone will ever see this or not! But this is a good friend that came out in the woods to do firewood! she spent Feb.20Th of 2005 up in the woods with me! We had fun! I don't know if you can really see the pic that good! She past away 18 days later on march 10Th (Wednesday)

MyNetty did so many things with me! I have so many memory's of her ! Fun was her middle name! She was caring and very generous! But somehow I need to get past that awful afternoon! So I thought if I write it down and read it that I can maybe get past it and start to see her for what she left me with, great memories ! Start to smile when I look at the pictures that she is in! I do know that she would hate that I still cry at times! But I miss her so much! It will be two year in march and I would love to make the day be a happy one and enjoy all the memories of her!

So here goes-

It starts on the weekend before! I didn't get to see her at all because I was up in the woods doing firewood! But on Monday we were working afternoons together! She came up and said she was on a Joanie low and gave me a hug! We always talk at least once a day so to go three days without talking is along time! I notice she didn't look good! I told her that her face was very red and she was puffy! She told me she didn't get more then a hour or two sleep in the three days she was off because friends had came over for the weekend! She also said she had just stop drinking at noon on Monday! It was two pm Monday when this was going on! I told her she should go home! But she said she had to take her blood pressure pill and she would be okay! Then she went into the break room and I went to work! She came back within twenty minutes and she did look better! Well I left at ten pm, and she still had her night shift to do!

Tuesday I came into work at 6am and did my first shift! Netty showed up at two and still didn't look good but she stated she got three hours sleep! We did our shift together and it was a tough shift because we really work hard! We had a few residents who were sick with the flu! By ten pm I was so wore out I looked at her said see ya have a good night! She really looked wore out! But she had to do another shift!

I didn't talk to Netty till two pm on wed. march 9Th 2005, She called me at home to see what I was doing! I said watching a movie and I will call her later! I also asked her if she had got any sleep yet! She said no! She went to her cousin funeral with her mom and sister! I told her to lay down and I would call her around four! Well she called me at 4pm and asked me when I was coming! I finally said I would pick her up at 430 and she better be ready! Well at 420 I call her back to make sure she would be ready so I wouldn't have to run in and get her! It was just a joke I did to let her know that I was leaving! Well her phone rang and a computer voice came on and told me all lines were busy! I was so confused as she didn't have a cell phone or a answering service! So I told my hubby and I called it back so he could hear it! He said weird and we headed out to get into the truck and go pick her up!We got to the house at 435 I was five minutes late!

She of course wasn't ready and i had to go in! That when my live changes forever! I went upstairs to her laying on her bedroom floor and my god she looked so awful i just cant get that image out oh my mind! I did CPR while the boy who lived there called 911. I didn't realize her son was even in the house! But he came up behind me and ask what is wrong with his mom! OH MAN I told him she would be alright as soon as the fire department got here! They didn't take to long and I was sent down stairs and was asked to wait till the cop came! The cops finally come within minutes and then tell us she is gone and it looks like she has been gone for awhile! I tell him I just talk to her at 4pm. He says must have happen right after that! More goes on but that part doesn't bother me at all! It was how I found her! I want to get that picture and delete it for all the good pictures I have of her!

I know we all have a story that holds us back in our lifetime and is hard to go on! I also know that I have learned a very good lesson in all this! Don't ever take for granted those people in my life that I hold dear to me, Because they could be taking to god at anytime! Live for the day and enjoy being with people and help others and be caring and generous as my Netty was for me!

This really sucks! I am so mad at what has happend to me! I fiannaly got a blog done and was going to publish it and my puter decided to bonk out and I lost it all! This is the sixth time of done this! But for right now Im just gonna put this up to see if it works! Cause im just a steaming now and cant handle this! maybe later I will try again! Ohhhhhh I just so mad!
